This shrine is YOUR spot to find out EVERYTHING there is to know about BfDI! Here, i cover everything i've observed about BfDI in my 1 and 1/2 years of being a VERY enthusiastic BfDI fan! What is BfDI?

BfDI, formally known as Battle for Dream Island, is a YouTube web-series started by brothers Micheal and Cary Huang in 2010. It began with Cary's interpretation of Rock Paper Scissors, "Fire Water Sponge," before expanding into the "Total Firey Island" comics, and eventually the web-series we know now, "Battle for Dream Island." The first season begins with a group of 20 objects stating how they would like to get away from eachother, before the Announcer comes along and offers them a way to exclude everyone they don't like from their lives, A.K.A, Dream Island. A whole square mile of paradise, as the Announcer states. The group of 20 then split into teams of 10, and partake in various different challenges to win the prize, sometimes even having eliminated contestants rejoin, and having a new character join.

Why do people like BfDI?

While many people have varying opinions on topics such as this, but i think the most agreed upon answer is that the show, while the first season may not seem like much, holds meaning to them, whether it be the character arcs, team dynamics, or overall plot, this show is what first inspired people to make object shows because it means something to them. Take me, for example: back in April, 2024, i liked BfDI so much that i wanted to make my own object show, because object shows meant the world to me, and they still do, but it's important to note that, even back then when BfDI was just a sily show i enjoyed watching in my freetime and didn't have any significant plot or conflict, it meant so much to me that i wanted to make my own.

This, right here, is why people like me like object shows so much, be it BfDI, II, HFJone, Animatic Battle, iTft, or even Battle for Circle, it means something to everyone in the community, so much so that they dress up in cosplay to go the nearest BfDIxII meetup to them, just to support the creators and be around people like them.
